EVANSVILLE, Ind. – After another strong performance in the net for the Aces, University of Evansville junior goalkeeper Michaela Till was named Missouri Valley Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, for the second time in her career, announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
In Thursday's match against UT Martin she recorded three massive second half saves to keep the Aces lead. In the 110-minute battle, the Avon, Ind. native allowed only one goal and posted four saves, off of 10 shots faced.
A rock in goal this season, Till has recorded 23 saves through three matches, keeping her on pace on the UE career saves list with 187, ranking sixth. Till ranks first in the MVC in saves (23) and saves per game (7.67) in the league this season.
The Aces take on SEMO on Friday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. on ESPN3 at McCutchan Stadium.
