EVANSVILLE – A scorching opening round followed by steady play on Sunday helped University of Evansville alumnae Kayla Osborne capture the 2020 Evansville Women's City Golf Tournament title.
 
Osborne, who competed for the Aces from 2013-17, opened the two-day competition with a six-under par 66 on Saturday at Fendrich Golf Course, earning her a two-shot lead heading into the final round.
 
The 2017 MVC Tournament champion, Osborne fired another below par round on Sunday, shooting a two-under par 70 at Oak Meadow Country Club to secure a two-shot victory in the city championship.
 
A year ago, Osborne finished in a tie for second at the 2019 Evansville Women's City Golf Tournament.
