EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Evansville athletics has announced an exciting partnership with HomeTown Ticketing.  This convergence creates a first-time benefit for Purple Aces fans – mobile ticketing for on-campus games.
 
"I am thrilled to announce this partnership with HomeTown Ticketing.  This partnership will allow our fans to experience an effortless ticket purchasing process for all of our on-campus events, an option that has not been available in the past," Jake Hill - Assistant Athletic Director for Ticketing and Game Operations said. "We are constantly looking for ways to enhance our game day experience while implementing fan-focused systems and we believe this partnership does just that."
 
Sports that will be utilizing online ticketing through this partnership will include volleyball, men's soccer, women's soccer, women's basketball, baseball and softball.  UE men's basketball tickets will not be part of the HomeTown Ticketing program, however, mobile ticketing is available through Ticketmaster.
 
There are several benefits of using mobile ticketing for fans including saving time, increasing security and improving the fan experience.  This will also cut down on the amount of person-to-person contact between fans and staff.
 
HomeTown Ticketing is viewed as one of the top mobile ticketing companies in the college athletics industry.  The company works with the institution to customize its branding on the university athletics website.  Fans are able to purchase tickets directly from the website and utilize their mobile devices to enter games.
 
As schedules for on-campus sports are released, the option to purchase mobile tickets will be available and information on how to purchase will be released at that time.
 
This is a step in an initiative by the department to go green and be more environmentally friendly.   Aside from HomeTown Ticketing, UE Athletics will be going digital with its schedule posters in the fall and is set to utilize digital game programs for ticketed sports.
