LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The accolades continue to come in for University of Evansville softball senior Eryn Gould, who was named to the 2021 NFCA Division I All-Mideast Region Team.
This marks the second such honor for Gould, who was named to the team as a freshman in 2018. Â The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced on Thursday that 380 student-athletes from 154 programs have received 2021 NFCA Division I All-Region accolades. Â
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region voted on the teams, and all student-athletes now become eligible for the 2021 NFCA Division I All-America squads.
"Eryn had such an amazing senior season. It is great to see her get rewarded for all her hard work," Purple Aces head softball coach Mat Mundell said. Â "I couldn't be happier for her. She has one of the best seasons in school history."
Her efforts this season saw her break the program's all-time hitting and on-base tallies. Â On top of that, she picked up her third nod on the All-MVC First Team while completing her career by being recognized on the 2021 MVC All-Tournament Team last week.
