ST. LOUIS, Mo. - After a tremendous week between the posts leading to two wins, University of Evansville fifth-year senior goalkeeper Michaela Till has been named Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced in a release by the Conference office this afternoon.

Continuing to move herself up the program's record book, fifth-year senior goalkeeper Michaela Till put on a pair of solid performances last week. Between the posts against Morehead State on Thursday, Till stopped five shots, shutting-out the Eagles for her 13th clean sheet of her career in Evansville's 1-0 win.

On Sunday at Morehead State, Till made four saves, keeping the game within reach as the Aces made a comeback to win 3-2 in overtime. In all, Till made two starts, playing 185 minutes, while recording a pair of wins with nine saves and recording a goals-against average of 0.98.

The honor is the fifth defensive player of the week honor for Till in her UE career, earning one in the spring, one in 2019, and two in 2018.

Evansville returns to Arad McCutchan Stadium on Thursday evening for a showdown with SEMO at 6 PM.
