EVANSVILLE, Ind. –University of Evansville head women's soccer coach Chris Pfau continued to add to the future of the Purple Aces' program on Thursday, as he announced the signing of defender Ella McAndrew (Greendale, Ind./Lawrenceburg HS) to a National Letter of Intent.

McAndrew is currently playing and training with the Cincinnati Sirens.  She earned all-conference and Academic All-State honors at Lawrenceburg High School in southeastern Indiana, while playing soccer, basketball and tennis for the Tigers.  McAndrew helped Lawrenceburg win sectionals and advance to the regional finals as a junior.  She also keyed a defense which broke the school record for fewest goals allowed as a senior.

"I am excited to add Ella to our soccer family," said Pfau.  "She is a tremendous player that will be able to come in from the start and help our program.  She is a competitive and very driven player, who comes from a great club system and I expect good things from Ella in the future here at UE."

McAndrew is the fourth player to sign with Pfau and the Purple Aces this year, joining Isabel Valdez (Phoenix, Ariz./Desert Vista HS), Amy Velazquez (Avon, Ind./Avon HS), and Kaylee Woosley (Evansville, Ind./North).  Evansville is coming off of a season in which the Purple Aces began with the best start in program history, ranked as high as #5 in the United Soccer Coaches Midwest Region poll, and earned a spot in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament finals.
