EVANSVILLE, Ind. - On a four-game win streak, the University of Evansville baseball team continues its eight-game road swing with a trip to West Lafayette, Ind. to take on Purdue at 5 PM (CT) on Wednesday evening.

Previewing the Matchup: Purdue

• The Aces and Boilermakers are meeting for the 37th time in series history with Purdue owning a 20-16 advantage in the all-time series.
• Originally scheduled to play in 2020 prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, UE and Purdue last met for a three-game series on March 15 and 16, 2013 with the Aces capturing the series, 2-1, in Evansville.
• The series dates back 75 years with the first matchup coming on April 12, 1947, a 5-4 win for the Aces in Evansville.
• Purdue plays a pair of midweek contests this week with future UIC member dotting the schedule for the Boilermakers on Tuesday before their Wednesday game against UE.

Sweeping in Springfield

• Securing a three-game sweep over Missouri State on the road this weekend, the Aces accomplished a feat never done by another Evansville baseball team.
• The sweep was the first for Evansville in Springfield in series history and just the second sweep of a three-game series for the Aces regardless of location.

The New Home Run King

• With a third inning shot to left field, Evansville first baseman Tanner Craig became the program's all-time leader in career home runs with 41.
• Craig passes the late Jeff Starks, who amassed 40 homers from 1979 to 1982.
• Craig now has 11 home runs on the season, just two off of his personal season best of 13, set last year.
