EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Evansville junior forward Hailey Autenrieb (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) earned honorable mention all-Missouri Valley Conference preseason honors for women's soccer on Tuesday in a vote of the league's head coaches.

Autenrieb ranked second on UE in scoring last year as a sophomore, playing in 16 matches with 12 starts for the Purple Aces.  She tallied three goals, all in MVC play, as she tied for seventh in the league in goals scored in league play.  Autenrieb recorded scoring strikes against Indiana State, UNI and Illinois State in Valley play a year ago, while also recording an assist against Drake.

Autenrieb is one of 22 returning players for the Purple Aces this season.  Evansville will open its 2023 regular-season on Thursday night by traveling to Macon, Georgia to battle the Mercer Bears.  Mercer posted a 9-4-7 overall record last season, including a 4-1-4 mark in the Southern Conference, while advancing to the SoCon Tournament semifinals.  Kick-off for the 2023 season is set for 6 p.m. central time.
