EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Behind the efforts of redshirt freshman forward Paige Radel, the University of Evansville women's soccer team is partnering with Samaritan's Feet for Sunday's regular season home opener against Indiana at Arad McCutchan Stadium.
Samaritan's Feet is a humanitarian aid organization that serves and inspires hope by providing shoes to those in need around the world. Since its founding in 2003, Samaritan's Feet and its partners have served more than 9.7 million people across 109 countries and over 570 U.S. cities.
As part of Sunday's initiative, fans will have the ability to donate $25 to help supply a local student with a pair of socks and shoes. Fans will also be invited to write "hope notes" to children who will receive the socks and shoes.
Sunday's partnership was led by Paige Radel, whose goal is to raise $25,000 equaling 1,000 pairs of shoes for students in Evansville over the course of the 2023-24 school year. The Aces will wear "Kicking for a Cause" shirts during warmups to help spread awareness for the cause.
Anyone interested in donating can visit the Samaritan's Feet table at Sunday's game or give atÂ
