EVANSVILLE, Ind. –  Recent University of Evansville women's soccer graduate goalkeeper Georgia Katsonouri has been called up to the Cyprus national team to take part in the European Championship qualification round.  Cyprus will battle Belarus tomorrow in the first match of Group C1.

Katsonouri graduated from UE in December after being a four-year member of the UE women's soccer team.  She is currently playing professionally for Mykonos FC in Europe.  Katsonouri owned a career 0.34 goals-against average in over 500 minutes of action during her career at Evansville.

Cyprus will open up European Championship qualification round play on Friday against Belarus, before taking on Lithuania on April 9.  The remainder of the Group C1 matches are currently scheduled for May, June and July.
