Weekend schedule updated for Murray State series

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – A 6-game road swing for the University of Evansville softball team begins on Friday when the Purple Aces open a 3-game series at Murray State.  Friday will now feature a doubleheader with games at 2 and 4:30 p.m. with Saturday's finale beginning at 1 p.m. with all three contests set to be carried on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
- Taylor Howe and Morgan Adams hit home runs to lead UE to a 4-2 win over Indiana State on Tuesday at Cooper Stadium
- Keghan Pye added three stolen bases including a swipe of home
- Gracie Hollingsworth earned her second win over the Sycamores and 7th of the season, allowing seven hits and two unearned runs in the complete game effort
 
Top of the Valley
- Morgan Adams continues to rack up the home runs as she hit #14 of the season in Tuesday's win over Indiana State
- Adams has three homers in the last five games and has moved to second in the UE single-season list; her tally is also 35th in the nation
- Her 36 RBI leads the conference and is on the cusp of one of the five highest single-season tallies in UE program history
- She is tied for third in the MVC with 27 walks, tied for 4th with five hit by pitches, third in slugging (.724), and third in OPS (1.167)UE is back on the road this weekend for a 3-game series at Murray State.
 
2-for-2
- In two games against Indiana State, Gracie Hollingsworth went 2-0 while allowing just two unearned runs in 14 frames of action
- After tossing a 4-hit shutout in Terre Haute on April 6, Hollingsworth allowed two unearned runs on seven hits in another complete game victory on April 15
- In the road contest, she struck out a career-best 8 batters
- She leads Evansville with seven victories and currently has a solid ERA of 3.39
 
She's Back
- Zoe Frossard was out between February 20 and April 11 before making her way back into the lineup for the Drake series
- Frossard hit her first home run of the season while picking up two RBI in the series finale versus the Bulldogs
- She opened the season with a 3-4 game against Stonehill
- Frossard was named to the Preseason All-MVC Team
