EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Taking to the road for the first time in its Missouri Valley Conference slate, the University of Evansville softball team travels to Belmont for a 3-game series on Friday and Saturday. Friday's doubleheader begins at 1 p.m. while the Saturday finale is set for a 1 p.m. first pitch; all three games will be on ESPN+.

All Over the Rankings
- Brooke Voss has enjoyed a stellar start to the 2026 season and is near the top of the MVC in multiple statistical categories
- Those rankings include home runs (T-6th | 4), total bases (8th | 44), slugging percentage (9th | .688), runs (T-9th | 16), extra-base hits (T-9th | 10), batting average (12th | .375)
- Voss is batting .484 over the last nine games recording 15 hits in her last 31 at-bats as she opens the Belmont series on a 5-game hit streak
- She hit a leadoff home run in the contest at Louisville while her top performance of the year was a 4-for-5 game with three RBI, two runs, a walk, and triple in the victory over Saint Louis

Leading the Way
- Evansville's top batting average belongs to Niki Bode, who checks in with a .381 mark; her tally is 9th in the MVC
- Bode's eight doubles on the season is tied for second in the league while her on-base percentage of .469 ranks 12th in the conference
- She heads to Nashville with an 8-game hitting streak going back to Feb. 22 - over that time she is batting .440 (11-for-25)
- In the win over Illinois State, Bode picked up two hits a day after posting a pair of doubles in game two of the doubleheader

Opening with a No-Hitter
- Kate Ridgway opened the 2026 campaign with a no-hitter in a 4-1 victory over Maine at the Heart of Georgia Classic
- With 55 strikeouts on the season, Ridgway is 5th in the league while her 7.04 K/7 innings is third in the league
- Ridgway picked up her second win of the season against USI where she struck out a career-high 10 batters in 6 1/3 innings of work

Big-Time Performance
- Freshman Ashtyn Holbrook led the way for UE in the come-from-behind win over Illinois State on March 7
- With her team trailing 5-1 in the bottom of the 4th, Holbrook launched her first collegiate home run to cut the deficit to three
- After the Redbirds took a 7-4 advantage into the bottom of the 7th, Holbrook hit the game-tying home run before UE won in walk-off fashion
- Entering the game, Holbrook was 2-for-14 from the plate
