HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Evansville cross country teams competed at The Southern Showcase on Friday morning, with both squads recording multiple personal-best performances in their second meet of the season.
Men's Results – Women's Results
The men opened the morning in the Men's Invitational 8K, placing 27th out of 29 teams in a competitive field that included No. 4 Alabama and Appalachian State. Alabama's Dismus Lokira claimed the individual title with a time of 23:08.8.
Nathan Whitehead led the Aces, finishing the 8K in 25:52.8 to set a new personal best. Whitehead improved his previous mark by 27.5 seconds. Nathan Campbell also recorded a personal best, crossing the finish line at 26:10.6 and improving his previous best by 47.3 seconds. Andrew Potter rounded out Evansville's three personal-best performances, posting a time of 26:47.3 to lower his previous mark by 10.1 seconds.

In the Women's Invitational 5K, Evansville finished 29th out of 31 teams. No. 11 Alabama claimed the team title with 28 points, while Caren Kiplagat led the Crimson Tide individually with a time of 15:41.4.
Avery Stephens led Evansville with a personal-best time of 18:39.8, improving her previous mark by 10.1 seconds. Kyndall Anthis also established a new personal best, finishing in 19:04.2 and lowering her previous mark by 50.9 seconds.
