Took another two strokes off her scoring average as a junior after improving by four strokes as a sophomore. 

Spring 2008:  Number three on the team with an 81.08 average...finished 8th out of 57 at the Butler Invitational (82-81–163)...12th of 68 at the North/South Collegiate in Jacksonville, Fla. (78-78–156)...tied her season low with a 74 at the Treasure Coast Classic.

Fall 2007: Number one on the squad with a 77.43 average...7th of 81 at the APSU Invitational (77)...16th of 82 at the Draper Invitational (76-75–151). 

Spring 2007: Finished 11th in a field of 76 at Eastern Kentucky Invitational (82-81=163) and 23rd out of 92 at North/South Intercollegiate (76-84=160)...10th out of 29 at Treasure Coast Classic, including a career-low 73 in final round (81-74-73=228)...spring average was 81.33, second best on squad.

Fall 2006: Best finish was 33rd in a field of 60 at Western Illinois Invitational (86-87=173)...averaged 85.33 in fall.

Spring 2006: Competed in all six events and averaged 86.23...shot a career-low 79 in the final round of the State Farm MVC Tournament in April to finish 33rd overall (80-85-79–244)...placed 48th out of 82 at Saluki Invitational (85-85–170).

Fall 2005: Averaged 88.5 in eight rounds...best finish was 47th in a field of 85 at the Lady Indian Classic at Arkansas State (81-84–165)...shot 83 in second round of Huskie Classic.

Background: Vandi Faye Gooch...born May 8, 1987 in Evansville...daughter of Bruce and Alicia Gooch...has two older brothers and one older sister...three-time Evansville Junior Golf Association Player of the Year...three-time all-city and all-conference...four-time academic all-city...averaged 77 as a senior...four-time regional qualifier...expects to major in nursing.
