2008:  Ran in five of UE’s eight meets on the season...turned in a season-best 8K time of 29:43.79 at the UE Invitational...best individual finish was 39th at the Tennessee Tech Invite...earned the MVC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award for the second year in a row for his work in the classroom...the award is the MVC’s highest academic award given to non-seniors.

2007:  Competed in two meets before going down with injury...earned a medical redshirt...earned the MVC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award and a place on UE’s Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.

2006:  Named UE’s “Most Improved Runner”...competed in six of UE’s eight meets as a rookie...cut over 2:37 off of his 8K time over the course of the year...posted a season-best 8K time of 29:22.08 at the UE Invitational...finished the year by posting three-straight personal-best times.

Background:  Ran cross country and track at Heritage Hills High School...helped the Patriots to the 2005 Pocket Athletic Conference championship...earned PAC Academic Scholar-Athlete status as a senior...graduated in the top 10 percent of his class...a mechanical engineering major.

Why UE?:  Because it is a small school with a good engineering program and close to home.
