Biography

2010-11 – Split playing time at center with Pieter van Tongeren...UE's fifth leading scorer (6.0) and second leading rebounder (3.4) despite averaging only 18 minutes of playing time per game...nominee for MVC All-Bench Team...hit 66 of 115 shots for 57.4% accuracy....finished his career with 493 points and 326 rebounds... shot 51.2% for his career...key player off the bench in March 15 CBI win over Hofstra, with 10 points and 3 rebounds...slowed early in season while recovering from torn ACL February, 2010...pulled down a season-high 8 rebounds Feb. 2 in win over Missouri State... scored a career-high 19 Dec. 23 vs. Norfolk State...came off the bench to score 12 points, and made a career-high 10 free throws, in Dec. 18 win over Middle Tennessee... scored 8 points in 19 minutes Dec. 11 vs. Md. Eastern Shore... scored 8 points on 4-for-6 shooting vs. North Carolina... totaled 5 points and 5 rebounds in 15 minutes vs. #23 Butler Nov. 27...made all 5 of his points from the FT line in 14 minutes Nov. 21 at Indiana.

2009-10 – Became UE’s starting center in December, and continued to improve until a torn ACL in his left knee Feb. 23 in victory over #22 UNI ended his season...underwent surgery March 19, and also had arthroscopic surgery in the summer...UE’s field goal percentage leader (.516)...fifth in scoring (6.5), second in rebounding (4.6)...scored a career-high 18 Feb. 20 against UIC after scoring a career-high 14 Feb. 13 at Southern Illinois and matching that total four days later at Wichita State...nominee for MVC Most-Improved Team...double figure scorer in six of last nine games after reaching double figures only twice in first 14 games...first double-double of his career came Dec. 22 at Austin Peay (12 points, 11 rebounds).

2008-09 – Played center and forward...scored five of UE's final 10 points to help pull out a 63-57 win over Indiana State Jan. 17...totaled six points and five rebounds in 13 minutes to help beat Southern Illinois 60-54 Jan. 31...season highs included 10 points in the win over Indiana State, and six rebounds in a Dec. 6 victory over Ball State.

2007-08 – One of the first frontcourt players off the bench...scored a career-high 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 17 minutes of playing time January 6 vs. Drake...pulled down 11 rebounds three days later at Creighton...played 10 minutes or more in 14 games... slowed in February by injuries before coming back to play more in the final games of the season.

HIGH SCHOOL – Indiana All-Star team member in 2007, although knee injury prevented him from playing...IBCA all-state selection in 2006 and 2007...led Forest Park to IHSAA 2A state titles in ‘05 and ‘06; 2007 team was on track to win its third straight championship before he went down with a torn ACL in his right knee in early March...totaled 1,330 career points and 799 rebounds...2006 state tournament MVP...led coach Tom Beach’s program to a 67-8 record in his final three years.

PERSONAL – Clint Anthony Hopf...born February 6, 1989 in Jasper, Indiana...son of Kevin and Angie Hopf...has three younger sisters–Amanda, Sarah and Rachel, and one younger brother– Curt... cousin, Brandon, was a standout basketball player at Oakland City University...majoring in criminal justice.
