2011: Ran in a pair of races in 2011...began the season with a 33rd-place run at Mid-America Opener (23:19)...ran a 29:28 en route to a 110th place finish at EIU Open.

2010:  Logged time in four events in 2010,with top finish of 29th coming at the UE Mid-America Opener...ran a 28:49 at the Evansville Invitational for his top 8-K time of the season.

2009:  Competed in six of UE’s eight meets as a sophomore...consistently ran in UE’s top 12 all season...posted a season-best 8K time of 28:16.00 at the Great American Cross Country Festival...best individual finish was 24th at the Mid-America Opener (20:39.10-6K)...also placed 53rd out of 90 runners at the EIU Panther Open (28:29.32-8K).

2008:  Earned UE’s Outstanding Freshman Award...was UE’s first newcomer across the finish line in all six meets in which he competed...cut over a minute off of his 8K time during the course of the year...posted a season-best 8K time of 28:09.04 at the UE Invitational...best individual finish was 24th out of 71 runners at the Earl Jacoby Memorial (28:24.50).

Background:  Lettered three years in cross country and four years in track at Merrillville High School in northwest Indiana...earned the cross country team’s Leadership Award as both a junior and a senior...helped Merrillville’s 4x800-meter relay team finish seventh in the state of Indiana as a senior...earned all-area honors in track in the 4x800-meter relay in 2008...majoring in criminal justice.

Why UE?:  It looked like a good college and the sociology department was just what I wanted.
