University of Evansville Athletics

2008:  Did not compete in cross country during the 2008 season due to injury...still has two years of eligibility remaining on the cross country course.

2007:  Worked around a broken nose suffered at the Indiana Intercollegiates to run in four of UE’s eight meets...despite the injury, still established a new career-best 8K mark of 28:25.02 at the UE Invitational...also set a new personal standard in the 6K event at the Mid-America Opener (21:20.28)...academically, earned a place on UE’s Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll and the MVC Honor Roll for posting a grade point average above 3.5.

2006:  Ran in six of UE’s eight meets as a freshman...lowered his 8K time in each of the last five meets he competed in...posted a season-best 8K time of 28:41.56 at the UE Invitational, placing 58th out of 89 runners...placed 16th in the 22-runner Mid-America Opener in a 6K time of 21:33.

Background:  Ran four years of cross country and two years of track at Centerville High School...earned scholar-athlete honors as a senior...finished fifth in the open division at the 2005 Greater Western Ohio Conference Championships...a creative writing major at UE.

Why UE?:  Because of the creative writing major and great study abroad program.
