2009:  Competed in four meets during his junior year...posted a season-best 8K time of 31:43.03 at the EIU Panther Open...best individual finish was 78th at the EIU Panther Open...also competed in the Indiana Intercollegiate Open Race, the Saluki Invitational and the UE Invite...a member of the MVC’s Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.

2008:  Limited to four meets during his sophomore season due to injury...established a new personal-best mark in the 6K with a time of 23:25.84 at the Mid-America Opener...also competed at the Sewanee Invitational, the EIU Panther Open, and the Earl Jacoby Memorial...posted a season-best 8K time of 31:20.00 at the Earl Jacoby Memorial.

2007:  Ran in six of UE’s eight meets as a freshman...cut over three minutes off of his 8K time during the course of the season...best individual finish was 32nd at the Tennessee Tech Invite...turned in a season-best 8K time of 30:05.34 at the UE Invitational...competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase during the spring track season.

Background:  A four-year standout in both track and cross country at Auburn High School in Illinois...earned the cross country team’s “low point award” three years...a sectional qualifier in cross country... earned Auburn’s Senior Athletic Award for lettering in two sports for more than two years...class valedictorian...majoring in biochemistry.

Why UE?:  It is a good academic school and the people are really friendly.  It made for a relaxed atmosphere.
