Biography
2009: Ran in five of UE’s eight meets during the course of his freshman season...posted a season-best 8K time of 30:03.95 at the EIU Panther Open...best individual finish was 32nd at the Mid-America Opener (21:53.98-6K)...also competed in the Indiana Intercollegiate Open Race (30:25.40-8K), the Saluki Invitational (31:25.30-8K) and the UE Invite (30:25.41-8K)...a member of the MVC’s Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.
Background: A four-year varsity cross country runner and three-time varsity track member at Freeburg Community High School...named to the Belleville News Democrat Select Cross Country Team as a senior...a two-time all-conference selection in cross country for the Midgets...also earned all-conference honors in track as a junior...team captain of both sports as a senior...member of the National Honor Society...majoring in civil engineering at UE.
Why UE?: UE offered a smaller campus and a more personal attitude towards the students. It made me feel welcome.
