Biography
2012: Posted a pair of top 25 outings in her senior season with the Aces...began with an 18th at the Mid-America Opener with a 17:24.27...took 68th/122 with her 21:01.21 at the EIU Open...assisted UE in getting the win at Tennessee Tech with her 25th-place effort of 22:32.81...ran a 21:43.06 to take 35th at the UE Invitational.
2011: Ran in three events in 2011...began with a 34th-place run at the Saluki Invitational, running a 21:54...finished 77th out of 257 at the Greater Louisville Classic with a time of 20:58...finished with a time of 21:27 at the UE Invitational.
2010: Logged times in all eight meets of her sophomore season... ran a new personal best at the Evansville Invitational where her time of 18:57 put her in 11th place overall...came in eighth place at the Saluki Invitational, finishing the race in 19:48...in the UE Mid-America Opener, Cron notched a tenth-place finish running the 4K in 15:49...wrapped up the season by setting her top time in the 6K at the NCAA G.L. Regional with a time of 23:52.
2009: Earned UE’s “Team Captain” award as a redshirt freshman...competed in all eight meets, typically running in UE’s top seven...posted a UE career-best 5K time of 20:08.00 while placing fifth on the team and 50th overall at the Great American Cross Country Festival...her best individual finish was a 16th-place finish at the Mid-America Opener (17:38.75-4K)...posted four top 40 individual finishes...posted a career-best 6K time of 25:19.04 at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships...named to the MVC’s Honor Roll for her work in the classroom.
2008: Saw her rookie season cut short due to injury...earned a medical redshirt...competed in three meets for UE...turned in a season-best 5K time of 20:28.10 in her final meet of the year at the EIU Panther Open.
Background: An all-conference and all-city cross country and track runner at Evansville Memorial High School...lettered three years in cross country and four years in track for the Tigers...earned Memorial’s Kiwanis Award for cross country as a senior after placing fourth at sectionals and fifth at regionals...led Memorial to a semi-state appearance in cross country in 2007...won the Evansville city meet in both 2005 and 2006...named the Evansville Female Runner of the Year in 2005 after winning both the city and conference championship...earned four trips to the Indiana state finals in track in the 4x800-meter relay...also won the 1,600-meter title at the 2008 Evansville city meet...majoring in exercise science.
Why UE?: Because of the strong physical therapy program and the cross country program.
