Biography
2008: Saw her rookie season cut short due to injury...received a medical redshirt...competed in both the Mid-America Opener (18:36.95-4K) and the Sewanee Invitational (22:57.22-5K) before going down with injury.
Background: An honorable mention all-state cross country runner from Crawford County High School in Indiana...also earned Academic All-State honors for carrying a 4.6 grade point average on a 4.0 scale...lettered four years each in cross country and track, and one year in basketball...an individual regional qualifier in cross country three times...also qualified for Indiana’s semi-state meet...helped the Wolfpack to a sectional championship in 2006...qualified for the state track meet in the 4x800-meter relay in 2007...high school teammate of fellow UE runner Lauren Schaftlein...majoring in exercise science.
Why UE?: It has a respected physical therapy program and it gave me an opportunity to run in college.
