Biography

2012: Top finish of her senior season was a 19th in the Mid-America Opener where she ran a time of 17:40.27...ran a 21:44.80 to finish 149th out of 339 in the silver race at the Greater Louisville Classic...recorded back-to-back top 30 finishes to finish the season...her time of 22:35.57 at Tennessee Tech was 29th while her top 5K time of the season (20:53.04) was 29th at the UE Invitational.

2011: Raced in five meets as a junior...began the year with a 37th at the Mid-America Opener (18:25)...came home 69th at the EIU Open after posting a time of 21:04...fastest 5-K time came at Greater Louisville Classic where the put forth a 20:04 effort to take 28th place.

2010: Ran in seven out of eight meets in sophomore campaign...found her way into the top 30 on three occasions...top finish of 22nd came at UE Mid-America Opener with a time of 16:37...came in 30th at the Miami (OH) Invitational logging in a 20:51 effort...at the Saluki Invitational, her 21:05 put her in 25th place...ran her top time of the season, a 20:33, at the Evansville Invitational.

2009:  Competed in all eight meets as a true freshman...consistently ran in UE’s top four all season long...posted UE’s third-fastest 5K time of the season with a season-best time of 19:32.39 at the EIU Panther Open, finishing 19th overall...finished a season-best 12th at the Mid-America Opener (16:52.88-4K)...posted three top 25 individual finishes...a member of the MVC’s Academic Honor Roll for her work in the classroom.

Background:  A multi-sport who excelled in cross country (three years), soccer (four years), tennis (four years), basketball (two years), swimming (two years), and track (one year) at Highland High School in New Mexico...named the Albuquerque Public Schools Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year as a junior...finished second in the Class 5-A state cross country meet and in the state high school tennis tournament as a junior...won the state high school tennis tournament as a senior...finished in New Mexico’s top 10 in cross country twice...has also earned all-district honors in soccer...helped both the soccer and basketball teams to district championships in her high school career...a member of the National Honor Society academically...majoring in electrical engineering at UE.

Why UE?:  It was a perfect fit both academically and athletically for me.
