Biography

2010-11: Went 1-2 at Flight 6 singles and finished third at number two doubles with partner Ashton Scherwin at the Memphis Fall Tournament...finished first at number two doubles and went 1-1 in Flight 5 singles at the IPFW Invitational...finished second at Flight 5 singles and took fifth place at number two doubles at the MVC Individual Championships...finished the fall with a 3-4 singles record and 7-2 in doubles.

2009-10: Played number three and four singles, posting a record of 2-4 at #4 against MVC opponents...teamed with Schwerin at number two doubles, finishing the year with a 2-5 record  in MVC matches...won Flight 5 singles and Flight B doubles at Aces Fall Classic...posted a 2-1 record at the Michigan State Invitational...finished third in Flight 3 doubles at MVC Championships...ended the fall season with an 8-3 singles record and 7-4 in doubles.

2008-09: Won the Flight B doubles championship with Schwerin at the Aces Fall Classic...runner up in Flight 5 singles at the IPFW Tournament...finished with a combined record of 10-7 in the fall...finished sixth in Flight 4 singles at the MVC Individual Championships…finished the spring with an 11-9 record at number four singles and a 10-11 record in doubles…after dropping the first match of the spring, she won eight straight to start the season…had back-to-back conference wins over Southern Illinois and Northern Iowa.

2007-08: Tallied two individual and two doubles wins at the Aces Fall Classic to begin her collegiate career...defeated Alex Pyle of Austin Peay 6-4, 6-0 and Katie Jo Clagg of USI 6-0, 6-1 before losing in Aces Fall Classic B Flight semifinals to Tiffany McLoughlin of Butler, 6-2, 6-0...teamed with fellow freshman Kate Chybowski to defeat Austin Peay 8-0 in B Flight doubles opener and Morehead State 8-1 before losing to Butler in finals, 8-6.

High School: Three-time all-state second team and three-time SIAC All Conference team selection...Reached semi-state her junior year after posting an 18-3 record...posted a 23-0 record at #2 singles her freshman year.

Personal: Pintanee Louise Sorensen...born Jan. 19, 1989 in Thailand...daughter of Steven and Karen Sorensen...has one older sister Lesti...majoring in Health Services Administration.

Why UE? “I wanted to choose a school that would allow me to enjoy my college experience while I also competed in a solid tennis program.”
