2009: Shared UE’s Most Improved Runner award on the men’s side with fellow junior Max Cordier...ran among UE’s top five in all eight meets in his first season at UE...posted UE’s second-fastest 8K time of the year at the Great American Cross Country Festival with a time of 25:55.00...posted five top 35 individual finishes, including placing 16th overall at the Mid-America Opener (19:31.47-6K)...also placed 29th out of 151 runners at the UE Invitational (27:32.19-8K)...ran the 12th-fastest 10K time on record at UE at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships (33:48.85).
Background: Transferred to Evansville from Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky...the first transfer in head coach Don Walters’ tenure as head coach...represented the Blue Raiders in the NAIA National Championships as a both a freshman and a sophomore...finished 59th out of 258 competitors at the 2007 NAIA National Championships with an 8K time of 25:56 as a freshman...a two-time all-Mid-South Conference runner as well...finished fifth in the conference championships as a sophomore and fourth as a freshman...won his first collegiate race at Lindsey Wilson by winning the individual title at the Centre College Invitational...majoring in biology at UE.
