Biography

2012: Had a stellar senior season for UE, placing 21st or better in six of the first seven races...started the year with a 4th place run in the Mid-America Opener with an 18:33.20 to set his 6K PR...came in 6th out of 127 runners at the EIU Open with a 25:44.44...followed that up with an impressive 20th out of 220 at the Indiana Intercollegiate with a 25:33.70...registered another strong run at Greater Louisville Classic with a 36th place run as 362 participated (25:42.06)...took first place at the Tennessee Tech Invitational with a 26:25.56 before recording a second place at the UE Invitational with a 25:39.61...set his 8K PR at the MVC Championships with a 25:27 to take 21st...finished his career with a 10K 33:12 to take 94th out of 204 at the NCAA's.

2011: Came home in the top 20 on three occasions, including a finish of 7th place in the Mid-America Opener, where he tallied a 19:11 in the 6-K event...ran a 26:12 at the Indiana Intercollegiate en route to a 43rd place finish...came in 12th place to help Evansville to a 2nd place finish at the Saluki Invitational (26:53)...set PR in the 8-K Greater Louisville Classic, finishing 28th with a time of 25:47...ran a time of 26:14 to take 16th at the UE Invitational...finished the season with a 10-K time of 32:41, besting his previous 10-K high by over two minutes.

2010: Recorded three top 20 finishes in sophomore season with the Aces...began the season with a 16th place run at the UE Mid-America Opener with a time of 18:52...followed that up at the next event with a 20th place finish at the Miami (OH) Invitational, logging a time of 26:46...top finish of his campaign came at the Saluki Invitational where he finished in 13th place with a time of 27:02, helping Evansville to a second place finish.

2009:  One of UE’s top newcomers who competed in all eight meets as a true freshman...earned the team’s Outstanding Freshman award...the only freshman to run among UE’s top five in all eight meets...posted four top 30 individual finishes, including placing 16th out of 88 runners at the Saluki Invitational (27:29.70-8K)...posted a season-best 8K time of 26:25.00 at the Great American Cross Country Festival...named to the MVC’s Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.

Background:  A three-time Most Valuable Runner in cross country at Heritage Hills High School...lettered three years in cross country, four years in track, and two years in swimming for the Patriots...earned honorable mention all-state honors as a junior...won the Pocket Athletic Conference individual title as a senior, breaking the conference course record with a 5K time of 15:55...advanced to the Indiana state finals in track in both the 3,200-meter race and 3,200-meter relay as a senior...placed seventh in the state in the 3,200-meter relay...a member of the National Honor Society...majoring in nursing.

Why UE?:  The school’s academic excellence, the fact that UE is a small private college close to home, and the team unity and acceptance of newcomers.  They made me feel like part of the team when I visited.
