Biography

2012: Ran in six races as a senior...top finish of the season was a 25th at the Mid-America Opener where he ran a 26:49.74 6K...top 8K time of the season was a 33:19.27 at the EIU Open...notched a 33:41.97 at the Greater Louisville Classic before posting a 33:33.65 at the UE Invitational.

2011: Saw action in four races as a junior...ran a 34:53 in Saluki Invitational as UE placed 2nd...top finish of 35th came at Mid-America Opener...ran a 31:29 at UE Invitational.

2010: As a sophomore, ran in six meets with top finish of 37th coming at the UE Mid-America Opener...ran a personal-best 30:56 8-K at the Evansville Invitational.

2009:  Ran in five of UE’s eight meets as a true freshman...best individual finish was 36th at the Mid-America Opener (24:04.58-6K)...posted a season-best 8K time of 32:09.68 at the EIU Panther Open...also competed in the Indiana Intercollegiate Open Race (32:23.30-8K), the Saluki Invitational (35:14.40-8K), and the UE Invite (33:05.64-8K).

Background:  Earned two letters in both cross country and track at Lincoln-Way East High School...served as the team captain of both squads during his senior year...part of a Griffins’ program which finished in the top 10 in Illinois in both 2007 and 2008 in cross country...Lincoln-Way East also finished sixth in the state in track in 2008...earned the cross country program’s “Coach’s Award” as a senior...majoring in international studies.

Why UE?:  I was greatly impressed with the International Studies/Political Science programs and the opportunity to run.
