Biography

At UE 2006: Compiled a 4-2 record at number one singles and 8-2 record at number one doubles during fall season...shared Flight A singles championship with teammate Lisa Kawamoto at Windy City Invitational by going undefeated in Flight A singles...helped the Aces win the doubles round-robin tournament during the Windy City Invite by going 2-1 with partner Beth Peyton...finished third at number one doubles at MVC women's tennis individual championship and won number one doubles in Aces Fall Classic with Beth Peyton...wrapped up fall season with three consecutive victories at number one singles. At Kansas: Collected 23 singles victories and 33 doubles victories for the Jayhawks over the last three years, despite battling injuries...posted a 9-4 singles record and 13-8 doubles mark in limited action due to injury in 2005-06...led the Jayhawks with a 7-3 singles record last fall, including undefeated weekends at both the University of Tulsa Hurricane Invitational (vs. Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, and Wichita State) and the Western Michigan University Super Challenge (vs. Purdue, Western Michigan, and DePaul)...also posted a team-high eight doubles victories last fall. High School: Four-time all-state performer at nearby Evansville Central High School...2003 Indiana Player of the Year...2002 Evansville Community Tennis Association Player of the Year ...posted a career record of 84-7 in four seasons at Central...defeated the 82nd-ranked junior player in the world at an Australian International Tennis Federation junior tournament. Brittany Jane Brown...born April 24, 1985 in Evansville...daughter of Ross and Jamia Brown...has one younger sister...father is former UE men’s tennis coach and currently head men's tennis coach at USI...has one year of eligibility at UE...majoring in Interpersonal Communications.
