Biography

2015-16: Set all-time program rebounding mark with 1,260, the total put him 4th in Missouri Valley Conference history…passed Larry Bird for that spot in his final game…2016 MVC Defensive Player of the Year…First Team All-Conference player…averaged 15.7 points and 14.0 rebounds per game in senior campaign…had 476 rebounds in 2015-16, 9th-most in a single season in conference history…averaged 14.0 rebounds per game as a senior, tops in the NCAA and his total was the most in MVC since Xavier McDaniel of Wichita State had 14.8 in 1985…finished as the national leader in double-doubles…was the first MVC player to have 300 or more rebounds in consecutive seasons since Ashraf Amaya of SIU did it in 1992 and 1993…finished career with 1,504 points, 11th in UE history…named to Wooden Legacy All-Tournament Team, was only player on the team who did not advance to the championship game…recorded double digit rebounds in all but four games in 2015-16…notched 20 or more rebounds four times, including career-high of 21 against Santa Clara and at Missouri State…also had 20 boards at Illinois State and at home versus Loyola…scored a season-high of 26 points in home win over Belmont…scored 23 points in leading Aces to MVC/Mountain West Challenge triumph at Fresno State.

2014-15: Earned a spot on the All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team…named to the CIT All-Tournament Team, averaging 14.8 points per game and 10.4 rebounds in the tournament…led UE for the season with 9.9 rebounds per game and was second scoring 12.5 PPG…his 9.9 rebounds led the Valley for the second-straight year and put him 19th in the nation…his 7.7 defensive rebounds per game led the MVC and was 4th in the country…was second in the league with 2.2 blocked shots per game…shot 57.9% overall, second in the conference…on December 22, 2014, was named the MVC Player of the Week and the College Sports Madness High Major Player of the Week…set the UE Division I record with 20 double-doubles in his junior campaign, it was 4th in the NCAA…upped his free throw shooting to 84.2% during the year, third in the league…started 34 games, missing the home games versus Bradley and Missouri State due to injury…had 17 points and 12 rebounds, hitting 7-of-8 shots at Miami Ohio…had his first of four 20-point outings against Wright State, going off for 20 points and 11 boards on an 8-9 shooting night…registered 25 points and 12 rebounds versus Alabama State…scored eight points or more in 13 of his 16 conference games…opened up the CIT with 15 points and 10 boards versus IPFW, came back with 21 at Eastern Illinois while hauling in a season-best 16 caroms…capped off the season with a career-high 27 points on 9-of-15 shooting versus Northern Arizona…his 9-of-12 free throws and blocked four shots in the game…his season mark for blocks was six in home game versus Murray State.

2013-14: Member of the 2014 MVC All-Defensive Team...finished as the leading rebounder in the MVC with 8.3 per game, led the league in shooting at 62.7% while finishing second with 2.0 blocked shots per contest...scored 10.5 points per game...his 62.7% shooting was the No. 6 mark in program history...set the Arch Madness record with 8 blocks against Drake...had 10 double-doubles in his sophomore campaign...grabbed 28.3% of the possible defensive rebounds for UE, that total was 6th in the country...his rebounding average was the best in 19 years for UE...posted career-high of 19 points on three occasions with the first coming at Ohio U. where he was 7-9 from the floor while hauling in 9 rebounds...posted first double-double of the season versus Miami with 17 points and 13 boards...registered career-best 18 rebounds at Illinois State...had three double-doubles in a row (vs. Wichita State, at Indiana State, vs. SIU) while posting five in six games in that span...second 19-point outing came against Wichita State (19 pts, 10 rbs)...played one of the top overall games in Arch Madness history in opener against Drake - finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds, hit 5 out of 6 shots and blocked a tournement-record 8 shots...also posted two steals and nine free throws in that game.

2012-13:  Named to MVC All-Freshman Team in 2013…was the top shot-blocking freshman in the conference with 64 on the season, blocked more shots than anyone else in league play…in the first 19 games, played over 20 minutes just four times, but played over 20 minutes in 10 of the final 17 contests, averaging 20.4 minutes…his 64 blocks was the most for a UE player since Sascha Hupmann had 74 in the 1991-92 campaign…career-high of six blocks was in home wins over UNI and Drake…averaged 5.0 rebounds/game (second on the team) while posting 5.8 points per games…tallied 12 points on 6-7 shooting while tallying five boards against Buffalo…first 19 games saw him average 3.7 boards and post a total of 25 blocks; bettered those numbers in the final 17 games hauling in 6.5 caroms per game while blocking 39 shots…shot 63.3% from the floor as a freshman…was a solid free throw shooter for a center, hitting 70.8% of his attempts…scored a season-high 18 points in home overtime win against Missouri State, hit all six shots, six out of nine free throws while blocking five shots and pulling in 8 rebounds…tallied career-best 13 rebounds versus Northern Iowa and at East Carolina…notched 11 points in MVC Tournament vs. Indiana State and had 10 in road game at Colorado State…posted 11 rebounds in home win over Illinois State.

Prior To UE: In one season as Vilnius Antaklanis, played in 17 games while averaging 18.1 points per game...played in the NKL in Lithuania for last two seasons...in 2010-11 averaged 12.7 points per game, shooting 53.7% while hitting 62.8% of his free throws and a three-pointer, averaged 10.5 rebounds per contest...last year (2011-12) put forth 14.3 PPG while shooting an amazing 71.0% from the floor and improved his free throw shooting to 74.5%...averaged 7.6 boards...played for the Lithuania U20 National Team, winning the U20 European Championship in July of 2012 in Ljubljana, Slovenia...scored 20 points against Spain while leading the team with 11 in the championship win over France where his squad won by a 50-49 final...averaged 7.3 PPG in the tournament while shooting 61.4%.
