Biography

2014: Finishing her career with Evansville, Morris made most of her 2014 appearances in the catcher position, as she appeared in 23 games and started 14. Morris recorded 57 putouts, had 17 assists and a .925 fielding percentage. Her offense was strong as well as she hit .200, recording one RBI, a run and a .200 slugging percentage. Morris also made appearances in the circle for UE, appearing in 15 games, throwing 44.2 innings, striking out 16 leading to a 4.39 ERA and a 2-2 record.

2013: Emily made 11 appearances at the pitching position while starting 2...she had 7 strikeouts while only pitching 19.2 innings she finished the season with an ERA of 5.69...Morris also appeared in field play where she played in 7 games making and made 1 start..she had the highest hitting percentage on the team with a .571 average..

2012: Appeared at the pitching position for 15 games while starting 3…had 13 strikeouts and pitched a total of 40.2 innings, including 6 innings against Middle Tennessee…ended season with second-best 3.10 ERA…only had one complete-game for the Aces…went 2-4 at the mound…notched 16 assists on the season, including a career-high 5 against Creighton…

2011: Ranked fourth in the conference and led the Aces’ staff with 15 relief appearances…ranked 10th in the Valley with 29 pitching appearances overall…tallied 14 starts in the circle…scattered seven hits and did not allow a walk in a complete-game effort to pick up the win against Southeastern Louisiana…collected a season-high two strikeouts eight times…pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless relief in the win against Alcorn State…didn’t allow any runs and held the Wichita State hitless in 2.0 innings of relief

Background: Four-year letterwinner for the Hawks…selected to Belleville News Democrat all-area second-team in 2009…named Cardinal Athlete of the Week…helped Gibault to regional championships in 2007 and 2009…also lettered in volleyball…earned academic first honors…member of National Honor Society…daughter of Anthony and Susan Morris…has one brother, Joshua, and two sisters, Meghan and Kaitlyn…sister, Kaitlyn, played soccer at Rockhurst University…majoring in nursing.
