University of Evansville Athletics

2015: Voted the Ida Stieler Award winner as the top female student-athlete at the University of Evansville…earned a berth on the All-MVC Second Team…finished season with a team-best .339 batting average, ranking 11^th in the Valley…led the league in slugging at .723…despite playing in 35 out of 55 games (due to her being a two-sport student-athlete with swimming), she registered 13 home runs, third in the conference and just five behind the league leader…in first game, went 3-for-3 with a home run, two doubles and two RBIs against Connecticut…recorded home runs in three of her first four games and five of her first eight outings…had a 3-hit performance at UT Martin, going 3-4 with a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored…posted a season-high four RBIs at Austin Peay, going 2-4 with a homer…registered three more RBIs in home contest vs. Murray State, going 2-4 with another long ball…started all 35 games she appeared in, 20 came as the DH, 14 at third base and one at second base…also made two pitching appearances, threw two innings allowing an unearned run at Missouri State.

2014: Freeman, who also swims on the UE swimming team, made appearances at the plate and in the circle for Evansville during her freshman season. Danielle made 18 appearances at the plate, while recording three starts for UE, she was walked one time and had three putouts and a .800 fielding percentage. In the circle, Freeman provided 14.1 quality innings for the Aces, as the freshman recorded seven strikeouts and had a 0-2 record in nine appearances.

At Hudsonville: Lettered in Swimming all 4 years & lettered in Softball 3 years...Played for Tom Vruggink as starting short stop last year at Hudsonville where they won the 2012 large school state championship...asa junior, she was named an All-State softball player…named 8-time State Swimming Champion in the 50 and 100-yard Freestyle…played this past summer with the successful Compuware organization headed by Scott Combs.
