Biography
2014-15: Earned a spot on the MVC All-Select Team for the third time in as many years at UE...also took a spot on the MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team...was Evansville's recipient of the MVC Leadership and Service Award in the spring of 2015...opened the season with a stellar doubles mark, going 9-1 in tournament doubles with Marina Moreno...in the spring, had a doubles streak with Natasha James where she won seven out of eight matches...Final Records: Singles - 15-13, Doubles - 20-8, Tournament singles - 5-4, Tournament doubles - 9-1, Dual singles - 10-9, Dual doubles - 11-7.2013-14: Member of the MVC All-Select Team for the second year in a row...earned a nod as an MVC Scholar-Athlete Honorable Mention...named MVC Women's Tennis Player of the Week on 3/18/14...went 20-9 in singles for the season while finishing with a 22-8 doubles mark...began the fall with a 6-3 doubles record, all with Natasha James...posted two victories in each fall tournament...after starting the spring with a 3-4 doubles record, went 13-1 over the remainder of the season...teamed with Marina Moreno to go 14-1 while winning five out of six Valley matches and eight in a row to finish off the season, all at No. 2 doubles...had a 7-3 singles mark in the fall, including two wins at SIUE and a pair of wins at Eastern Kentucky...moved to No. 1 singles in the spring and went 11-6 in that slot...won four out of six MVC outings...following a 3-4 singles start in the spring, went 10-2 over the final two months, including a 6-match win streak. Final Records: Tournament Singles - 7-3, Tournament Doubles - 6-3, Dual Singles - 13-6, Dual Doubles - 16-5.
2012-13: Transferred to Evansville and began her UE career in January of 2013...named to the MVC All-Conference Team for top doubles with Natasha James...earned a berth on the MVC All-Select Team...was named MVC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week on three occasions...earned wins in her first eight singles efforts and 14 out of her first 15...posted a 6-1 mark in MVC play with all of those efforts coming at flight two...workedf with Natasha James to go 16-3 in doubles, which included a 10-match win streak and a 6-1 record in the Valley...Final records: Dual Singles - 15-3, Dual Doubles - 16-3.
Prior to UE: Before coming to Evansville, she played at Kansas State where she picked up a win in the Big 12 Championship at No. 3 doubles against Texas A&M; also picked up doubles wins in the regular season versus Baylor and Kansas...her accomplishments prior to KSU include a championship in TA 16-doubles while making the championship of the Czech Republic on four occasions in the adult category while doing so three times as a junior...her highest ranking was 22nd nationally and third in her area.
Personal: Marketa Trousilova...born in Teplice, Czech Republic...daughter of Pavel Trousil and Marketa Trousilova...has younger brother and younger sister ...majoring is communications.
Why UE? "It is a great atmosphere; everything on campus is very close. Coach Mueller is very experienced and is very similar to European coaches."
