AS A SOPHOMORE (2013): Made all 57 of his starts in center field…All-MVC First Team selection… MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team honoree…Led the team and ranked in the top 10 in the MVC in several categories including batting average (.339 – 7th), slugging percentage (.504 – 6th), runs scored (48 – 6th), hits (80 – 2nd), doubles (15 – 7th), home runs (6 – 5th), stolen bases (15 – 6th) and total bases (119 – 4th)…Reached base in all but two games for the Purple Aces, including the first 20 of the season to run his on-base streak to 39 dating back to the 2012 season…Posted a season-best 17-game hitting streak and 35-game on-base streak…Led the team with 22 multi-hit and 10 multi-RBI performances…Finished the series at Wichita State 8-for-12 with three runs scored, a homer and two RBI (Apr. 19 – 21)…Recorded multiple hits in four-straight games (Apr. 14-21)…Went 1-for-5 with a game-winning grand slam against Xavier (Apr. 12)…Went 2-for-5 with a walk-off, three-run homer in UE’s MVC Tournament win over Bradley (May 22)…Posted a season-high four hits by going 4-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored against Southern Illinois (Apr. 6)…Hit .366 in league games with five doubles and three home runs for a .537 slugging percentage…Posted a .993 fielding percentage, committing just one error in center field.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2012): UE’s 10th player in Aces history to earn Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-America honors…Second team All-Missouri Valley Conference…Started 57 games in center field…Led the squad with a .328 batting average, 17 runs, and a .493 slugging percentage in MVC games…Ranked third on the team with a .303 season average and squad-best .410 on-base percentage…Co-ranked third in the Valley and co-led the Aces with five triples, while also belting 13 doubles, one home run and had 33 runs batted in…Recorded 152 putouts, five assists, and a perfect fielding percentage…Had 15 multi-hit games, including six three-hit performances…Finished second on the squad with eight multi-RBI games…Had a nine-game hitting streak (Apr. 21-May 9)… Recorded back-to-back 3-for-4 performances against Murray State (Apr. 25) and Bradley (Apr. 27)…Belted his first career home run at Dallas Baptist (May 4)…Will carry a 19-game on-base streak and three-game hitting streak into next season, marking UE’s longest of the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-time letterwinner in baseball and basketball…One of Illinois’ top base stealers at Prairie Ridge High School on the north side of Chicago…Hit .430 as a junior with three home runs, 23 RBI, and 34 stolen bases for the Wolves on his way to all-conference, all-area, and honorable mention all-state honors…Helped Prairie Ridge win the Illinois state title as a sophomore
PERSONAL: Father, Randy, played in the San Diego Padres’ organization and two of his uncles played college baseball.
