The University of Evansville softball team will be hosting its Alumni Weekend April 16-18, when the Purple Aces face off against the Wichita State Shockers. The weekend is filled with numerous events, so make sure you don't miss out!
• The Purple Aces play Wichita State in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 17 at noon and wrap up the three-game series at noon on Sunday, April 18. The first 50 fans at the game will receive a replica helmet while kids in uniform get $1 admission and all kids are welcome to play on the inflatables. Barbecue will also be available for UE's alums.
• UE will not just honor its alums, but also the 10-year anniversary of softball's 2000 Missouri Valley Conference Championship and its 40th year of Evansville Softball.
• Softball isn't the only program honoring alums, but baseball will be retiring the jersey number of former UE and major league standout Andy Benes on Saturday, April 17 at 4:00 p.m. The Aces also face Arkansas State for a three-game series.
