His older brother, Kyle, pitched four years at Georgetown College (2017-20), posting a sub-4.00 ERA all four years while starting 37 contests and earning second-team all-conference honors, before taking a graduate COVID season at Thomas More University in Crestview Hills, Kentucky and posting a 4-2 record in 2022
Also had relatives who played football at Kentucky (Brett Slusher) and Eastern Kentucky (Brady Slusher), as well as baseball at Northern Kentucky (Brandon Slusher)
