At Joliet J.C. – Played for Wayne King at Joliet J.C....Earned NJCAA Division III second team All-America honors after helping the Wolves to a second-place finish nationally...Set a Joliet record for victories by posting a perfect 13-0 record as a sophomore...Earned first-team all-Region IV and all-N4C Conference honors in 2007...Struck out 83 in 91.2 innings of work, while posting a 3.24 ERA.

Background – An IHSBCA all-state pitcher at Minooka Community High School...Earned Chicago Tribune all-state special mention honors as a senior after going 11-2 with a 1.96 ERA for the Indians...Helped Minooka to a regional championship as a senior and a 63-9 overall record in his final two years in school...His brother, Andrew, is a freshman baseball player at Indiana State...Majoring in marketing...Chose UE “because it is a great opportunity to do big things as a team.”
