  • Named NABC Freshman All-American, ABCA/Rawlings All-Region, and MVC Freshman of the Year
  • First UE freshman to earn All-Region honors
  • Helped lead the Aces to an MVC Tournament and NCAA Regional title in his first collegiate season, tallying a 4.22 ERA.
  • Led all NCAA freshman in innings pitched (111.0) and victories (nine), while accumulating 83 punch-outs in 16 starts.
  • Earned national acclaim for his victory in the opening game of the NCAA Greenville Regional over host ECU, pitching eight innings, allowing just one run on three hits, while striking-out four batters in a 4-1 Evansville win.
  • Recorded five outings with six-or-more strikeouts, including a season-best nine Ks against UIC on May 16th.
  • Allowed three-or-less runs in 12 of his 18 appearances on the season, including a seven-inning shutout of Illinois State at The Braun on April 12th.

  • A first-team all-state pitcher from Fort Zumwalt West High School in O’Fallon, Missouri outside of St. Louis
  • Went 8-0 with a 0.89 ERA and 0.69 WHIP with 86 strikeouts in 55.0 innings of work as a senior
  • Was the Gateway Athletic Conference South Player of the Year, while also earning first-team all-district and all-metro honors
  • From March 25 through April 26, had five-consecutive games of 10 or more strikeouts
  • Also went 7-1 as a junior with a 1.59 ERA and 71 strikeouts in 52.2 innings of work
  • Ranked as the tenth-best left-handed pitcher in the state of Missouri by Perfect Game

  • While he is left-handed, he plays ping-pong, tennis and bowling right-handed
  • Wanted to wear the #6 originally, but with it being retired at UE for former coach Jim Brownlee, chose the #16 to wear
  • Was given a baseball signed by Stan Musial before he was born, and has loved the game of baseball ever since he could walk – and that’s why his favorite number is the number 6
  • Has a career goal of being a professional baseball player
