Biography

2016: Led team with 14 starts on the mound, putting together a 4-6 record in the process … Posted 4.23 ERA over team-best 83 innings of work … Also led team with 56 strikeouts … Held opposing hitters to .268 batting average … Went 1-4 in conference play with 6.57 ERA over team-best 38.1 frames … Picked up first win of the season with seven shutout innings against Central Connecticut (March 11) … Ended game with a career-best 10 strikeouts while surrendering just three hits … Followed up with a seven two-run frames in victory at Eastern Kentucky (March 26) … Tossed only complete game a week later, fanning seven and allowing one run versus Florida Gulf Coast (April 2) … Closed out regular season by allowing a combined two earned runs over 10 innings at Indiana State (May 19) and in the MVC tournament against Southern Illinois (May 25).

2015: Appeared in 16 games, making seven starts … Was 2-6 with two saves … Finished first in the Missouri Valley Conference in hits allowed (56), second in losses (six), fourth in sac bunts allowed (nine), fifth in sac flies allowed (four), and 10th in saves (two) … In league play, ranked second in sac bunts allowed (six), third in losses (three), third in sac flies allowed (two), and 10th in hits allowed (33) … Made his UE debut with 4.0 scoreless innings in 7-2 win at UALR (Feb. 14). Also walked career-high seven in the game, without allowing a run, to earn his first career save … Earned his first career start with 5.2 innings vs. Western Illinois (Mar. 7) … Became the team’s Saturday starter vs. Dallas Baptist (Mar. 21) … Recorded a season-high six strikeouts vs. Missouri State (Apr. 11) … Moved back into the rotation for the final four appearances of his season …. Pitched a season-long 5.0 innings out of the bullpen vs. Austin Peay (May 14).
 
JUCO: Pitched at Jefferson College for one season for head coach Sam Carel.

PREP: Four-year letterwinner at Fatima High School for head coach Scott Kilgore, where he posted a perfect 8-0 record on the mound as a senior, leading the Comets to a state championship … Two-time first team all-state selection and two-time first team all-district selection … Won a state championship in 2011 for his American Legion squad that was coached by Denny Hughes
