At UE – Ryan Fleming brings great power potential from the left side to the UE program this spring...Will contend for time both in the outfield and at DH as a freshman...Defensively, possesses an above average arm in the outfield.

Background – Played baseball, volleyball, hockey and golf at Henry Street Secondary School...Hit six home runs to go along with a .650 batting average during his senior season...Joined the Ontario Blue Jays travel team and compiled a .390 batting average with five home runs...Went 3-for-8 with a pair of RBI against UE last May in a pair of exhibition games with the Ontario Blue Jays...An All-Ontario selection and MVP in volleyball, while also winning awards in golf and hockey...His uncle, Ron Stead, pitched for the very first Team Canada baseball team and has been inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame after being a 10-time All-Star and a four-time MVP of Canada’s Intercounty League...Plans to major in global business...Chose UE because of “the awesome campus, the fantastic coaching staff, and amazing team.”
