DID YOU KNOW? For the second straight year, Bradley ranked among the MVC’s best in shooting accuracy. He shot 53% as a sophomore and 56% as a junior. 2005-06 – Ranked 2nd in MVC in FG percentage (.555), and 4th in blocked shots (1.59)...started all 29 games at center...UE’s fourth leading scorer and second leading rebounder...chosen Feb. 28 as co-MVC Player of the Week after totaling 19 points and 8 rebounds in a win over Southern Illinois, and 20 points and a career-high 13 boards (third double-double of his career) three days later in win over Indiana State...scored at least 12 points and grabbed at least six rebounds in four of his last five games...20-point game vs. Indiana State was a season high...double-figure scorer in 15 games...became only the third player in UE’s Division I history to block 100 shots in his career...blocked seven shots, one shy of school record, against Wichita State Jan. 19. 2004-05 – Ranked 6th in MVC in field goal percentage (.534) and seventh in blocked shots (1.1)...starting center in all 28 games...third on the club in scoring (10.3) and third in rebounding (4.8)...chosen Jan. 10 as MVC Player of the Week after totaling 38 points in two games...scored a career-high 24 points on 11-for-13 shooting Jan. 7 vs. eventual NCAA Tournament team UNI...blocked five shots Jan. 9 vs. Illinois State...recorded the first two double-doubles of his career, with 23 points and 10 rebounds Nov. 21 vs. Coastal Carolina, and 16 points and 11 rebounds Jan. 29 at league champion Southern Illinois. 2003-04 – Member of the five-man MVC All-Freshman Team...led the MVC in blocked shots with 1.3 per game...sixth on the team in scoring (6.3) and third in rebounding (3.3)...shot 52.6 percent...hit 10 of his final 14 FT attempts after making 19 of his first 53...made his first collegiate start January 21 against Northern Iowa, and started in every game the rest of the season...scored 12 points, including the winning basket in the final 30 seconds, in a 68-66 victory at Missouri State Jan. 28. HIGH SCHOOL – Team MVP, Best Defender, and Most Improved as a senior at Lakeside...shot 59 percent from the field and 73 percent from the line in leading team to a 13-8 record as a senior...member of Lakeside’s 27-6 team as a junior that was Georgia 5A state runnerup. PERSONAL – Bradley Lamont Strickland...born August 22, 1985 in Tucson, Arizona...son of Warner and June Strickland...has one older sister, Sheeka...father played basketball briefly at Illinois State...favorite subject in school is math...on target to graduate in May with a degree in business management.
