2008-09 – Reserve frontcourt player as a freshman who played in 14 games, averaging 3.6 minutes per game...good defensive player...scored a total of 15 points, including a career-high 6 on Dec. 18 at North Carolina, where he hit all three shots in two minutes of playing time....scored 4 points against Oakland City, three against SIU-Edwardsville, and two at Wichita State...pulled down three of his seven rebounds Dec. 31 at Illinois State...shooting totals included 6-for-13 from the floor, including 0-for-1 from three-point range, and 3-for-7 from the free throw line.
HIGH SCHOOL – Chosen by the state coaches association as the 2008 Minnesota Defensive Player of the Year...second team all-state...averaged 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks as a senior in leading Minnetonka to the Class 4A (large school) state championship and a 28-3 record...averaged 16 points, 9 rebounds, 6 blocks in tournament play, and made the all-tournament team...totaled 1,245 points and a school record 304 blocked shots in his career...averaged 12.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and set a school record with 82 blocked shots as a junior on a 17-9 team, and was chosen first team all-conference and honorable mention all-state...played AAU ball for the 43 Hoops team, coached by former NBA player Chris Carr.
