Mike Dashner joined the University of Evansville athletics department in August 2015 and is in his first season as Video Coordinator with the men’s basketball program.
Dashner comes to Evansville after serving as an assistant coach for Clarke University (NAIA Division II) in Dubuque, Iowa last season.
He was also an assistant coach for St. Norbert College (NCAA Division III) in De Pere, Wisconsin in 2013-14. The team achieved the best record in school history (25-2) as they were Midwest Conference Champions, Midwest Conference Tournament Champions and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
From 2011-2013, Dashner served as an assistant coach at Knox College (NCAA Division III) in Galesburg, Illinois.
Prior to that, Mike was an assistant coach at St. Norbert from 2009-2011. The 2010-11 team was Midwest Conference Champions, Midwest Conference Tournament Champions and reached the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The 2009-2010 squad was also Midwest Conference Champions, Midwest Conference Tournament Champions and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Second Round.
Dashner was also a student assistant coach at the University of Minnesota Duluth (NCAA Division II) in Duluth, Minn. from 2004-2009.
Collegiately, Mike attended the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and a minor in coaching. He also achieved his Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay in Applied Leadership of Teaching and Learning.
Dashner grew up in De Pere, Wisc.
