Willie Larry was never able to play basketball at the University of Evansville because of chronic knee problems, but he has been part of the Aces' program since coming to UE in 2006-07.
Larry is the Aces' graduate assistant administrator this year. He assists in practice preparation and administrative duties for the basketball program, and helps direct community involvement and campus involvement activities involving the basketball program. An Honor Roll student throughout his first four years at the University of Evansville, Larry received his degree in exercise science in 2010, and is now seeking his master's degree in health services administration.
A native of Little Rock, Ark., Larry signed a national letter of intent in April, 2006 after averaging 13 points, eight rebounds and three assists per game as a senior at Hall High School. A three-year letterwinner, Larry was a two-time all-state selection and made the all-conference team all three years. He helped lead the Warriors to the 2006 state tournament final four.
