2019-20: Named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week on Dec. 9…named the MVC Newcomer of the Week on four occasions…had the most accurate shooting game in the NCAA in 2019-20 for players attempting more than 10 shots – was 17-of-18 against Miami Ohio, shooting 94.4%...finished the year leading the team with 15.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 64.8% shooting...had the best debut for the program since 1986 as he scored 26 points and grabbed nine boards in win over Ball State…hit 11 of his 14 attempts, three out of four triples and dished out three assists…scored nine points in 25 minutes in victory over #1 Kentucky…first of five double-doubles came against IU Kokomo where he had 23 points and 13 rebounds with 9 of his 14 attempts finding the bottom of the net…added 13 tallies and 8 caroms versus SMU…helped UE defeat Morgan State with 14 points…first of four consecutive 20-point games began with a 20-point, 15-rebound, 5-assist game at IUPUI – it was Evansville’s first such game since 1994…added 21 in win over Western Illinois before setting his career mark with 37 points against Miami Ohio…the most accurate game in program history saw him go 17-of-18 from the field while adding 10 boards, 3 assists and three blocks…followed that up with 22 tallies and 12 rebounds in win at Green Bay…his 18-point game helped the Aces defeat Murray State…he played 41 minutes while setting his mark with seven assists…fifth double-double came in MVC opener with 12 points and 10 rebounds at Missouri State…finished with 28 points on 11-of-13 shooting against Valparaiso…played his top mark of 42 minutes…missed 14 of the final 17 games due to injury…missed 12 games in a row but returned at SIU with 8 points and 7 boards.
Prior to UE: In 2017-18, Williams played for the Nation Wide Academy in Oklahoma City and averaged 24 points and 11 rebounds...a 2016 graduate of Klein Forest HS in Houston and was chosen to play in the NBA Top 100 Camp in the summer of 2015 before his senior year of high school...ESPN and Scout.com rated Williams as a 3-star recruit and he drew interest from multiple Power 5 schools before choosing UE.
