2017-18: Earned a spot on the MVC Most Improved Team…led MVC with 2.0 steals per game and a 48.2% 3-point percentage…was second in the league with 4.6 assists per game while ranking 11th in scoring (13.7 PPG), third in field goal percentage (57.8%), third in free throw shooting (86.2%) and 7th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.4)…played in 22 games as a sophomore…set career high of 25 points on 11-of-13 shooting at Bowling Green, also had seven assists in the game…dished out career high 11 assists against North Carolina Central…top MVC games saw him post 23 against Indiana State and at Valparaiso.

2016-17: 2017 MVC All-Freshman Team member…completed his first season with 5.3 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest…played 22.5 minutes per game…saw action in 28 games while making 8 starts…debuted against Louisville playing 22 minutes while scoring five points…top non-conference outing saw him register eight points against UNC Wilmington…missed five games in late December and early January due to injury…came back on 1/8/17 at Drake and scored 14 points on 5-11 shooting and also had first game with two 3-pointers…had 10 points at Indiana State and home versus Loyola…played top total of 36 minutes against Sycamores in Terre Haute…best game of the season came at Wichita State, totaling 19 points while making six field goals, five of them from outside; all were career-highs.

Prior to UE: Played at Reitz High School in Evansville where he led the team to a 22-5 mark as a senior...in his final season, he averaged 20.8 points per game and 6.5 rebounds...as a junior, he notched 10.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest while leading the Panthers to a 29-2 overall record...the 2014-15 Reitz squad was the runner-up in the Class 4-A State Tournament.

Personal: Son of Kendra Giles and Leonard Smith...has two brothers.
