Biography

2006-07 ­– The only newcomer to start in a majority of games...one of the most athletic players on the team...became a starter in the third game of the season, against Cleveland State, and started in 19 games after that...good defender and offensive rebounder...scored a season-high seven points January 13 at Wichita State, playing against older brother P.J. Couisnard...also had a career-high four steals in that game at Wichita State...scored in each of his last eight games after being held scoreless in 13 of his first 23 games...played a season-high 27 minutes at Missouri State January 9; played 21 minutes against Buffalo November 19 and 21 at Wichita State January 13...seventh on the squad in minutes played.
 
HIGH SCHOOL – Averaged 10.8 points and 6.5 rebounds as a senior for Yates High School in Houston, playing guard and forward...all-conference selection...Offensive and Defensive MVP of his AAU team in the summer of 2006... scored 36 points in a Las Vegas AAU tournament...spent his first two years of high school at Westbury Christian, leading the team to a 62-12 record and two state championships...two-year letterman at both Westbury Christian and Yates.

PERSONAL – Jeremy ‘Jay’ Couisnard...born  April 10, 1988 in Houston, Texas...son of Prince and Sheila Couisnard...both parents are ministers...has two brothers and two sisters...brother, P.J., is a senior at Missouri Valley Conference rival Wichita State...academic major is undecided...hopes to enter the field of engineering after graduation.
