2012-13: Left UE as the No. 32 scorer in program history, scoring 1,115 points in four seasons…scored 379 points as a senior, his previous best season was 293 points…hit 52 out of 62 free throws in senior season…posted 106 assists against just 42 turnovers, posting a 2.5 assist/turnover ratio, second in the MVC…bested that total in MVC games, tallying a ratio of 3.4…averaged 10.8 points per game, second on the team…also had 106 assists while shooting 41.5% from the floor…started 35 out of 36 games in his senior campaign…posted 15 points to lead UE to a road win at Tennessee Tech, had 6 assists in the game…scored in double figures in six games in a row, including 15 against Miami (OH) and 16 versus Murray State…his 17-point outing led the Aces to a home win over SIU…led UE with 18 points at Illinois State on 5-of-10 shooting and 6-6 free throws…season-high of 21 points came in home overtime win over Drake where he hit 7 out of 16 attempts and 5-6 free throws to go along with six assists…scored 18 in home game against Creighton before registering 16 to lead UE to a win over Illinois State at the Ford Center…season-high of 7 assists came in Senior Day win over Indiana State…posted 16 points in CIT win over Tennessee State.
2011-12: Earned 2012 MVC Sixth Man of the Year award…averaged 9.2 points per game to rank fourth on the team…hit double digits in 12 games as a junior…tallied 16 points against Oakland City before posting a career effort at UIC where he tallied 24 points on 9-13 shooting…put forth a solid effort at Indiana State as he notched 22 points while hitting four treys…dished out career-best eight assists in win at Bradley, also notched 16 points against the Braves…in season finale win over Missouri State, Cox scored 17 points while hitting 7 out of 8 free throws.
2010-11: Member of the five-man MVC All-Bench Team...came off the bench in 30 of UE’s 32 games...fourth leading scorer at 7.3 ppg...hit 87 of 204 shots (.426), including 24-for-82 (.293) from 3-point range...fifth on the team in assists with 49 and steals with 14...played an average of 22 minutes per game...UE’s leading scorer in season finale at Boise State with a season-high 17 points; hit 6 of 11 shots, including 3 of 5 from 3-point range at Boise State...totaled 10 points and 4 assists off the bench in March 15 CBI win over Hofstra... scored 16 points Feb. 8 vs. UNI... starter in two February games because of Kenneth Harris’s concussion... left-handed...great leaper...led UE in scoring (15) and assists (4) in Jan. 12 win over Drake, and earned the #8 Play of the Day on ESPN for his tomahawk dunk vs. Drake...also led UE in scoring with 10 points Jan. 7 at Missouri State... scored 12 points Jan. 4 at UNI...scored 11 Dec. 29 at Wichita State, and also made three assists...played a season-high 33 minutes Dec. 18 vs. MTSU and totaled 8 points and team-high 4 assists... scored 7 points in 23 minutes vs. North Carolina Dec. 8...played 30 minutes in win over #23 Butler, and scored 9 points...came off the bench to score 11 points in 21 minutes in season opener vs. Oakland City; hit 5 of 6 shots in that game.
2009-10: Outstanding addition who was a contender for the MVC All-Freshman Team and MVC All-Bench Team...double-figure scorer in three of UE’s final six games, including a career-high 23 in an OT loss at Wichita State...scored 22 in double-overtime win at Tennessee Tech...led all scorers with 18 in UE’s 56-53 win at Drake to end the regular season...ranked #8 in MVC in 3-point shooting percentage (.390)...UE’s fourth leading scorer (7.7) and fourth in assists (2.1)...lefthander who was second on the team with 32 3-pointers...82 of his 170 field goal attempts were three-pointers...best leaper on the team...starting guard in six mid-season games, and in each of the final two.
At Judson: Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) All-Star guard...fifth newcomer added to the 2009-10 Purple Aces’ roster, after signing a national letter of intent April 25, 2009...leading scorer as a senior at Converse Judson High School... helped lead Judson to a 36-2 overall record in Texas’ Class 5A (largest public school class) and a spot in the state’s Sweet 16...District MVP...first team all-conference, all-region, and all-state...named to the San Antonio Express-News All-City Super Team...played in the prestigious TABC All-Star Game on May 8...averaged 15.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.2 steals per game on 40 percent shooting from three-point range as a senior...cleared 6’8” in the high jump in placing second in the region track meet.
