• Enjoyed a strong debut season with the Aces
• Posted a 4.78 ERA across 49 innings
• Pitched to a 4.26 ERA in MVC play, the top mark on the pitching staff
• Appeared in 13 games and made eight starts
• Made his UE debut with three innings of one-run ball against Little Rock on opening weekend, striking out three (2/14)
• Struck out five across 2.1 innings against Kentucky (2/25)
• Tossed six innings against Missouri, striking out a season-high six while allowing four runs (3/1)
• Closed out a win over Murray State with 1.2 scoreless frames to help the Aces to a series victory before making the start in game two of the day’s doubleheader (3/22)
• Helped the Aces to a rubber match win over Valpo, working 5.2 innings with six punch-outs while limiting the Beacons to one run on four hits (3/30)
• Picked up a win at UIC, tossing the final three innings while allowing only one earned run (4/5)
• Threw a season-high 6.2 innings at Illinois State, allowing four earned runs with four strikeouts on 106 pitches (4/13)
• Registered a save against Bradley after missing a month due to injury, holding the Braves to one hit and one unearned run in the final 2.2 innings while fanning three (5/16)

PRIOR TO UE

• Spent the 2024 summer with the Mankato Moondogs of the Northwoods League with UE teammates Ty Rumsey and Elias Hachem
• Joined the Aces after a pair of seasons at Frontier Community College (Fairfield, Ill.)
• Amassed 28 career appearances for the Bobcats with a career 5.40 ERA and 90 strikeouts
• One of four Canadians on the 2026 roster, hailing from Barrie, Ontario.

PERSONAL

• Son of Kim and Kraig Byberg
• Has an older brother Rhys
• Majoring in exercise science at UE to become a physical therapist
• Spends his time away from the field golfing, wake surfing, and playing video games
• Also played hockey, basketball, and volleyball but says golf is his second best sport
• Lists his favorite food as chicken parnassian
• Says his hidden talent is that he can juggle
