Biography

2015-16: Saw action in 11 games as a junior…posted 1.1 points and 0.3 rebounds per game…hit 5 of his 8 shots on the season…top total of 4 points came in win over Marian.

2014-15: Redshirted in 2014-15 due to NCAA transfer rules.

At Nebraska:
2013-14 (Sophomore)

Sergej Vucetic (pronounced SIR-gay vu-che-tich) provided depth in the Husker frontcourt, as he played in seven games for the Huskers in 2013-14. He totaled four points and four rebounds in 16 minutes of work. He had two points and a rebound in three minutes against Florida Gulf Coast in the season opener against Florida Gulf Coast on Nov. 8. Vucetic, who played in NU's first three contests, enjoyed his best game against South Carolina State on Nov. 17 with two points, two rebounds and a blocked shot in a season-high three minutes. He saw action in four Big Ten games, grabbing a rebound in two minutes in the win over Purdue on Feb. 23. He transferred to Evansville following the 2013-14 season. 

2012-13 (Freshman)
Vucetic provided depth in the Husker frontcourt during his first season as a Husker. He appeared in 11 games, totaling eight points and a pair of rebounds in 18 minutes of action. He connected on his only shot and grabbed a rebound against No. 10 Ohio State in the Big Ten quarterfinals on March 15. During Big Ten Conference play, he appeared in seven contests, totaling six points on 3-of-5 shooting. After not playing for nearly a month, Vucetic hit both of his field goal attempts at No. 8 Ohio State on Jan. 3. He also played three minutes against both Illinois and at No. 1 Indiana on Feb. 13, where he scored his other basket. His most extensive action of the year came at Wisconsin on Feb. 26, when he played the final four minutes against the Badgers. He missed two games because of a knee strain suffered on Jan. 28 before returning to action in the win over Penn State on Feb. 9.

Before College
Vucetic spent the 2011-12 season at AIM Prep in Northville, Mich., where he averaged 19.5 points and 12 rebounds per game. He was a member of the CAPS All-Stars AAU team under Chris Sparks and played with an international all-star team at the Northwest Indiana All-Star Classic in April of 2012.

A native of Serbia, he played in the Nike International Junior Tournament in Paris in April of 2012 and has played for the FMP Belgrade program, considered one of the top youth programs in Europe.

Personal
Sergej is the son of Veselin and Marika Vucetic and was born in Vrbas, Serbia. He has one younger brother, Vasilije, and one younger sister Oksana.
