Biography

2006-07 – Saw action in five games...scored his first collegiate points on November 19 by making his first career three-point attempt in UE’s victory over Buffalo in the final round of the America’s Youth Classic...added a free throw against Illinois State December 9 for his other point...also played against Southeast Missouri November 27, Missouri State January 9 and Indiana State February 11...excellent practice player because of his quickness, shooting ability and effort.

2005-06 – Played in a total of eight games as a freshman, including January 22 at Creighton, January 16 at Illinois State, January 14 at Bradley, January 11 at Southern Illinois, January 5 at home against Missouri State, December 28 at home against Drake, December 17 at home against Campbell, and November 21 at Loyola...used primarily as a defensive replacement...had one field goal attempt, against Southern Illinois Jan. 11.

2004-05
– Redshirted as a freshman at Southwestern Illinois College...transferred to UE at the end of the school year.

HIGH SCHOOL – Greater Egyptian Conference Most Outstanding Player as a senior in 2003-04...averaged 19 points and nine assists per game as a senior, and led the Gallatin County Hawks to conference championships as a junior and senior...Hawks were 19-9 in his senior year and 18-11 as a junior...four-time all-conference player...scored 1,537 points in his career...scored a career-high 45 against Eldorado as a junior...All-South (Illinois) as a junior and senior...All Southeastern Illinois for three years...Most Outstanding Player in the War On The Wabash all-star game (Illinois vs. Indiana) in 2004...earned four letters each in basketball and baseball.

PERSONAL – Trenton William Wargel...born July 3, 1986 in Evansville, Indiana...son of William and Dana Wargel...has one older sister, Kristen Benson...excellent student who earned the Missouri Valley Conference Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award for compiling a GPA of 3.5 or better for two consecutive semesters...majoring in Accounting.

WHY EVANSVILLE?
